Whereas by the Hong Kong University (Medical Degrees) Order in Council, 1945, His Majesty by and with the advice of the Privy Council, empowered a Committee to be known as the University of Hong Kong Medical Degrees Emergency Committee (whereof the undersigned persons are members) to exercise, in so far as they relate to

far medicine and surgery and subject to the provisoes in the said Order in Council contained, the powers of the Senate of the University of Hong Kong under sub-paragraphs (2) and (4) of paragraph 1 of Statute 16 to determine what examinations and courses of study in other Universities places of learning should be deemed equivalent to examinations and of study in the said University and to propose persons for admission to degrees, and to exercise the power of the Chancellor of the said University under paragraph 1 of Statute 3 to confer degrees: And Whereas
